TamilSpark International Journal of Tamil Studies provides a scholarly platform for academics, researchers, scholars, and professionals to explore the rich and diverse dimensions of Tamil language, literature, culture, history, society, and related fields of Tamil Studies. The journal serves as an intellectual forum for academicians, teachers, researchers, and professionals to present, exchange, and disseminate their original research works, critical studies, and scholarly contributions. It seeks to encourage research and academic engagement with the multifaceted traditions, contemporary developments, emerging perspectives, and interdisciplinary dimensions of Tamil Studies. The journal welcomes innovative research findings and scholarly articles that contribute new knowledge, ideas, and critical insights, thereby promoting research awareness and academic inquiry among students, teachers, educators, researchers, literary scholars, cultural practitioners, and curriculum developers and contributing to the advancement and preservation of Tamil language, literature, and cultural heritage.

Responsibilities of Authors

Authors are instructed to follow the guidelines, rules and regulations strictly. They are advised to submit their own original manuscripts, which are free from plagiarism. Plagiarism in all its forms represents unethical publishing behaviour and is objectionable. Hence, their research papers or articles will be taken into account for checking plagiarism. Authors should not submit a manuscript that had already been published in another Journal. Authors and /or co-authors are requested to review and make sure the exactness and legitimacy of all the results previous to submission. All authors are requested to submit the Copyright Transfer Form without fail once they receive the acceptance of their article for publication.

Call for papers

The journal would strictly publish original articles and research papers, and their critical reviews from all fields of education. The official language of the Journal is English. We invite contributions from authors on innovative papers, both research and thematic, on Higher Education in General, for publication in the journal. The mailing address, contact numbers & e-mail id of contributors and their designation, a summary of his/her CV in a nutshell and a recent passport-size photograph must be sent along with the paper.

Abstract along with Keywords

The comprehensive abstract of 200 words should accompany the manuscript. This abstract, with keywords, should summarise the central theme of the paper.

Citations

Citations, references, and other bibliographic details should be prepared in accordance with the latest edition of the MLA Handbook, as applicable to the subject area.

Font size and Space

Manuscripts can also be submitted via email. The manuscripts must be typed in MS Word, Bamini font size 12, with 1.5 line spacing, not exceeding 15 pages.

Article Submission

The paper needs to contain a title, an abstract, keywords, main body with sections and sub-sections and references. All articles should be free from grammatical errors to the maximum extent possible, and any technical matter must be as clear as possible.

All scholars are advised to follow educational ethics that acknowledge the original ideas derived from others. The Publisher & Editors will not be responsible for any such lapse of the scholars regarding plagiarism and unjustifiable quotations in their manuscripts. All submissions of your manuscripts should be original and accompanied by a declaration stating that your research paper is original work, and be sure that your articles have not been published anywhere else.

Peer Review Process

The Journal abides by a double-blind peer review process such that it does not disclose the identity of the reviewer to the author and does not disclose the identity of the author to the reviewer. All papers will first be assessed by the editorial board. All the accepted papers will be published soon after final acceptance. The copy editing work is done by editorial board members. The articles will be reviewed and accepted only after a positive opinion from the Members of the Editorial Board.

Important Note

The status of the paper, whether it is to be published or not, will be intimated to the author concerned after undergoing a thorough scrutiny by a double-blinded Peer Review Panel. The authors will not be levied any charges for their publications, but if they need ensuing periodical issues of the journal, they have to pay the subscription fee.

Subscription includes the price of the journal plus postage to be published and supplied in the months of April, July, October, and January.

The journal will appear in the months of February-April, May-July, August-October and November-January. Hence, the contributors are requested to send their papers one month before the publication.
